BPI and BPI AIA are giving free PHP 200,000 COVID-19 life insurance coverage

  1. The free COVID-19 coverage will be offered for registration until December 31, 2022 to eligible BPI and BPI AIA customers.

  2. This offer is subject to the following eligibility requirements:

    1. Must be a BPI or BPI AIA Customers.

    2. Must be 18 to 64 years old on date of registration

    3. Must not be a probable, suspect, nor confirmed COVID-19 patient at the time of application. *

      *COVID-19 claims occurring within 14 days from effective date will not be covered.

  3. This is a free life insurance coverage of Php 200,000 for death due to COVID-19.

  4. The coverage period is 90 days.

    *For BPI AIA policyholders and group members until April 30, 2020, coverage was automatically applied and was effective from June 15 to September 13, 2020.
    *For those who have already registered, refer to the Certificate of Coverage for your 90-day coverage period.
    *For other BPI Customers who have not yet availed of this offer, registration is until December 31, 2022.

  5. The free coverage is on a per life basis. This means that an eligible customer is entitled to only one (1) free coverage of Php 200,000, even if they have multiple accounts or plans under their name.

  6. Should a customer already have an existing or active Free COVID-19 Life Insurance Coverage from a different BPI offer, the customer can give this as a gift to a family member who can also register, given that the family member is also a BPI account holder or will be opening a BPI account.

  2. How do I avail of this offer and how long is the offer period?

    You have until December 31, 2022 to avail of the offer. You may get in touch with your BPI bank officer or answer our appointment form below. A BPI AIA representative will call you to assist in processing your registration.

  3. How will I know if I’m already covered?

    You and your assigned beneficiary will be receiving a Confirmation of Coverage in your registered email addresses. This is a digital document that can serve as your proof that the coverage is already in effect. It also includes the start date of your coverage. This Confirmation of Coverage will be embedded in the e-mail that will be sent by Marketing@bpi-aia.com.

  4. When will I receive the Confirmation of Coverage?

    For those who submitted the accomplished registration form, the Confirmation of Coverage will be sent 3-5 business days from the date of approved registration.

  5. What kind of protection/benefit does the free COVID-19 Coverage provide me?

    This is a free life insurance against COVID-19. In the event of untimely demise due to COVID-19, your named beneficiary/ies will receive Php 200,000. If you currently have a BPI AIA policy or group insurance, this benefit will come in the form of additional Php 200,000 on top of your existing plan’s benefits.

  6. Does the free COVID-19 coverage apply also to OFWs?

    As long as you meet the eligibility requirements, you should be covered upon successful registration.

  7. Can I still change my assigned beneficiary/ies for this free COVID-19 coverage after registration?

    Yes, you can. You may e-mail BPIAIA.customerservice@aia.com together with your request for change of beneficiary assignment. Please expect feedback within two (2) working days upon submission of request.

  8. How can a claim be filed?

    To file a claim*, your beneficiary may e-mail BPIAIA.customerservice@aia.com together with the soft copies of the following supporting documents:

    • Death certificate (must explicitly state death was due to COVID-19)

    • Accomplished Claims Form (https://bit.ly/3aXg525)

    • Accomplished Credit-to-Account Form (if this is the chosen disbursement method: https://bit.ly/2SxtirX)

    • Beneficiary’s ID

    • Please expect feedback within five (5) working days upon submission of complete documentation.

    • *COVID-19 claims occurring within 14 days from effective date will not be covered.
